Dr. S.T. Rajan

Dr S.T.Rajan (74 yrs) holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He is an American Fulbright Fellowship awardee and a Member of the International Solar Energy Society. At IHU, he is currently a Director and Dean of Hinduism (Sanatan Dharma) studies and for Ayurveda studies. He was a Senior Scientist of CSIR-Central Salt & Marine Chemicals Research Institute, Bhavnagar in Gujarat, INDIA for 27+ years. Later he served as Adjunct Professor in PDP University, Gandhinagar and led Dr.Subhash Technical Campus in Junagadh, as its Director for 3+ years. He guided several PhD and Masters candidates in Bhavnagar University in Bhavnagar, M.S University in Vadodra, Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad and Shri JJT University, Rajasthan, INDIA. He is a specialist in Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technologies, Remote and Rural Sarea Development in which areas he also worked on collaborative projects with scientists from Switzerland and from the Uzbek Academy of Sciences, in The Republic of Uzbekistan. His multiple publications in International Journals and presentations in International Conferences relate to diverse subjects. He is fluent in Tamil, Hindi, Gujarati, and Kannada, and is also familiar with Tamil Siddha Yoga and Medicine, Naturopathy, Acupressure and Vaastu shastra.
