Dr. Narendra Maheshwari was born in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, India. After completing his primary schooling from his hometown, he moved to Pilani, Rajasthan where he finished secondary school. He finished his medical school in 1983 from SMS Medical College, Jaipur. Dr. Maheshwari completed his residency program at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York. After completion of training, he moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1992. Dr. Maheshwari married his wife Priti Maheshwari, who is an active Real Estate agent in South Florida for many years. Priti is a US graduate in Nutrition and Dietetics, she currently serves as Chairperson of South Florida Hindu Temple Dr. Maheshwari and Priti both are active members of many nonprofit organizations. Since 1992, Dr. Maheshwari has been practicing as a Board-Certified Medical Doctor in Broward County. He is very focused not only on what he decides to do in his own life but also very focus and dedication to serving the community where he resides. He has served many nonprofit organizations: – Member of Governing Board of South Florida Hindu Temple. President of Indian Physician of South Florida 2015-2016. Light Ones Path Foundation- Free clinic—Founder and currently working. Dr. Maheshwari has been a Chief of Staff of Broward Health North. Previously he has been elected as Chairperson of the Department of Medicine. On October 8th, 2014- his life took a turn, when his only child Rahul, age 24 years, was killed in a car accident, he was a medical school student. This tragic moment changed his and his wife life. With support from his family and friends, they opened a non-profit foundation name Light One’s Path, which serves unprivileged people free of cost medical services. The main goal of his life is to serve and help the needy, in whatever way he can.
