About
Dr. Chandrakant P. Giri, Ph.D., is an accomplished research microbiologist, educator, and interdisciplinary scholar whose career bridges modern science, philosophy, and spirituality. He holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry from Georgetown University and has advanced academic and research training in molecular biochemistry, molecular genetics, and philosophy, science, and religion.
Dr. Giri spent more than two decades in scientific research with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and National Institutes of Health (NIH), where he served in senior research and scientific positions, including Branch Chief of the Division of Toxicology. His research career includes work in molecular biology, genetics, DNA repair, infectious disease, cancer research, and vaccine-related studies.
Alongside his scientific career, Dr. Giri has dedicated more than two decades to teaching and exploring Hindu (Gaudiya Vaishnava) philosophy. He has taught through online programs, university campuses, and public forums across India, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Japan. His interdisciplinary work explores the relationship between scientific inquiry, spirituality, consciousness, and human development, including his work on the epigenetics of Bhakti traditions.
