Dr. Seshadri Ramkumar is a distinguished professor, researcher, innovator, and academic leader specializing in advanced materials, technical textiles, and nonwoven technologies. He is a tenured Full Professor at Texas Tech University, where his work has focused on translating scientific research into practical industrial applications.
His research has contributed to commercially successful products, including FiberTect decontamination wipes and cotton-based oil absorbent wipes. Since the early 2000s, Dr. Ramkumar has played an influential role in advancing technical textiles in India by supporting research, innovation, and collaboration between academia and industry.
