Dr. R. N. Sreenathan is a distinguished anatomist, educator, researcher, and academic leader with more than four decades of experience in medical education and scientific research.
He holds an M.Sc. in Human Anatomy from Karnatak University and a PhD in Anatomy from Banaras Hindu University. His doctoral research on the teratogenic effects of acetaldehyde received recognition from international examiners for its scientific merit and originality.
Dr. Sreenathan has held senior academic and administrative positions at medical institutions across India, Libya, the Caribbean, and Jamaica, serving as Professor, Chair, Dean, and academic leader in Anatomical Sciences. His career reflects a strong commitment to medical education, student development, and academic excellence.
His research contributions span anatomy, teratology, developmental biology, and placental studies, with numerous publications to his credit. His excellence in teaching has been recognized through prestigious honors including the Henry Gray Award for Anatomist of the Year and multiple Golden Apple Awards.
Alongside his scientific career, Dr. Sreenathan has maintained a deep interest in India's spiritual and cultural heritage. He translated Geeta Makaranda into Kannada and authored Om = I Am: A Novel Journey into Vedic Legacy, bringing together his scientific perspective and appreciation of Vedic thought.
